The graph below shows ‘Literacy Rate’ from 1995 to 2010. Describe the graph in 150 words. You should highlight and summarize the information given in the graph.

Answer : A recent survey gives a crystal clear idea about the
literacy rate in our country. The graph above shows a wavering state of literacy
rate which is not at all desirable. In 1995, literacy rate was 38,1% which
abruptly rose to 56% in 2000 which was really beyond imagination. In 2001, the
literacy rate drastically came down to 47.9% and again in 2003, the rate
hopelessly decreased to 43.1%. This abrupt fall in graph is indeed a negative
indication in the field of overall development of our country. But fortunately,
in 2010, the rate came up to 56.8% which bears a highly positive sign for her
overall development. The survey shows that literacy rate is now increasing
gradually. As the development of a country depends much on its literacy rate,
people are becoming aware of the importance of literacy. The rate is now
gradually increasing which is a positive sign for our country. We are hopeful,
if this positive trend in the literacy rate of our country continues, our
country will go ahead in the days to come.
